I have fired over 500 of the Laser-Cast 38-55 240 grain RNFP out of a Marlin 336 Cowboy. I maintain the ability to hit 8-10" steel disks at 100 yards with open sights and usually scoring 45 or more hits out of a box of 50 rounds shooting from the sitting position with no rests. Misses are usually my fault. I use Starline Brass, Federal Large Rifle Match primers, a charge of IMR4198 powder and half of a lubricated Circle Fly Wad. Rounds are assembled using RCBS Cowboy dies, a CH Taper crimp die, and a Lee Precision Neck Expander Die. I have experienced no leading issues, no inferior bullets in the box, or any other problem. I have no need to shoot any other 38-55 bullet at this time. By the way, my rifle was worked on by LHSS and I have no doubt that this adds to the overall experience.
